This elegant traditional piece was adorned with intricate hand paintings of “important scenes from the Ramayana” as captioned by Alia Bhatt’s stylist Ami Patel, who is also the brainchild behind Madhurya Creations. These miniature paintings, which were done in traditional Pattachitra style, took a hundred hours to complete.

Alia Bhatt styled the saree with a matching blouse and a matching pashmina shawl from the clothing label Dusala. The Bollywood actress rounded off her ethnic avatar with a middle-parted low bun and a minimal makeup look.

She accessorised her outfit with a pair of gold earrings, gold bangles and matching potli bag. Alia Bhatt’s husband-actor Ranbir Kapoor chose an all-white traditional attire to complement her.

Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, celebrities such as Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, and Jackie Shroff, attended the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Monday.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. She will next feature in director Vasan Bala's ‘Jigra’. The film is being co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself. It is all set to hit the theatres on September 27, 2024.
