“Heartbreaking”: Arshad Warsi's Wife Slams Ambanis For Using Elephant As “Prop” At Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s Pre-Wedding Celebrations
Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant pre-wedding: Maria Goretti, former VJ and host, seems to be upset with the Ambanis for using an elephant as a “prop”.
The three-day pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant came to an end on Sunday. However, the internet is still talking about the star-studded affair in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which was attended by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor, among others. While everyone is stunned with all the glitz and glamour on display, Maria Goretti, former VJ and host, seems to be upset with the Ambanis for using an elephant as a "prop".
Maria Goretti, who is the wife of actor Arshad Warsi, slammed the celebrations for being "unkind" towards animals. The 52-year-old took to Instagram to share a picture of Ivanka Trump, who was one of the guests attending the ceremonies. However, the picture also showed an elephant being used as a "prop" at one of the venues.
“I’m appalled at this picture of the Ambani celebration. I don’t think this should happen to any animal, specially not to animals that are being rescued and rehabilitated. Heartbreaking, just heartbreaking that this elephant was made to stand like a prop, in the middle of noise and people," she wrote on Instagram Stories.

For the unversed, the celebrations included themed events like 'An Evening in Everland', and 'A Walk on the Wildside'. The latter was set in the Ambanis’ animal rescue center Vantara.
It is imporant to mention that Vantara, which happens to be a comprehensive animal rescue, care, conservation and rehabilitation programme, was recently inaugurated and it is spearheaded by Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's son Anant Ambani.
The three-day grand celebrations were also attended by the likes of Rihanna, Diljit Singh, Udit Narayan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Pritam, Sukhinder Singh and David Blaine.
All these artists performed during the celebrations. The guest list also included Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor, among others.
