Arjun Kapoor To Play Antagonist In Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh And Akshay Kumar-Starrer 'Singham Again'
Actor Arjun Kapoor will be playing the main antagonist in Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Singham Again'.
Actor Arjun Kapoor will be playing the main antagonist in Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Singham Again'. While, this was being rumoured for a long time now, however, there was no confirmation from the makers. However, in the latest entertainment news, Arjun Kapoor's father, Boney Kapoor has confirmed the development, saying the actor will indeed be starring in the Rohit Shetty's cop universe.
"There are multiple things lined up (for Arjun) and he is happy about those subjects. He is on the threshold of a new kind of characterisation. A film of Rohit Shetty was launched where he's the solo villain opposite Ajay Devgn," Boney Kapoor told the New Indian.
"Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar are also in the film. It is Singham Again (Singham 3). Arjun is playing an antagonist for the first time. Let's see where the film takes him," he added.
When asked about Arjun Kapoor's acting career, Boney Kapoor said, "Every man's career has its own journey. I don't think Arjun has reached his peak. Yes, I'm always there for him and guide him."
For the unversed, 'Singham Again' had gone on floors on September 16, 2023. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh had also shared pictures from the muhurat pooja.
Rohit Shetty also shared the pictures, saying, "Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi...12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham Again... the 5th film in our cop franchisee. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI."
Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan are also slated to star in 'Singham Again'. Earlier, Rohit Shetty had confirmed that Deepika Padukone will be playing the first female cop in the uber-popular franchise.
As of now, 'Singham Again' is slated to release in theatres on Independence Day weekend in 2024.
The Rohit Shetty-directorial will be going up against Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.
