Amitabh Bachchan won hearts after inviting his neighbour inside Jalsa for a special meeting that quickly went viral.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Sunday ritual of stepping out to wave at fans outside his Juhu residence, Jalsa, has been a cherished tradition for years. On special occasions, the megastar even invites fans inside for intimate meet-and-greet sessions, often surprising them with thoughtful gifts. Recently, one such moment unfolded when his neighbour, Nirmit Jesrani, requested a personal meeting – an interaction that has now gone viral on social media.
On Monday, Nirmit took to Instagram to share a video detailing the unforgettable experience. He revealed that February 8 would forever remain special for him, as it marked the day he finally met Amitabh Bachchan.

According to Nirmit, the actor not only gave him an autograph – which he plans to frame and hang on his wall – but also gifted him a T-shirt printed with Amitabh Bachchan’s photograph. Overwhelmed with joy, he said, “I am so happy, meri khushi ka toh thikana hi nahi hai. I was called to Jalsa at 5 pm. My appointment was fixed with sir.”
Nirmit Jesrani further spoke about the warm welcome he and his family received at the legendary residence. He shared that Big B’s team had informed them in advance about the meeting time, and they patiently waited as the actor came out to greet fans for his Sunday Darshan.
“We saw Sunday Darshan live, with our own eyes, and that too from his house,” Nirmit said. When they met Amitabh Bachchan, the family tried to touch his feet, but the actor gently stopped them. He then posed for a group photograph and readily agreed when Nirmit requested a solo picture, even allowing them to click photos on their own phone.
Describing the superstar as extremely humble and grounded, Nirmit said he still couldn’t believe he had been invited into Amitabh Bachchan’s home. “For the first time, I got the opportunity to go to his house and meet him in person. It’s a big deal. Thank you so much, sir, for giving me the opportunity to meet you. Dreams do come true,” he added.
Captioning the post, Nirmit wrote, “Still can’t believe this happened. Met the one and only Amitabh Bachchan ji — beyond grateful for this humble opportunity and his incredibly sweet gesture. Witnessed Sunday Darshan live from his house and wow… the energy was absolutely CRAZY! Truly unforgettable.”
Amitabh Bachchan has often written about this Sunday ritual in his blogs, repeatedly thanking fans for their unwavering love and for waiting outside his home week after week.
On the work front, Big B will next be seen in the sequel to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film will also star Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in key roles. While Deepika Padukone featured in the first instalLment, she will not be part of the sequel. Reports suggest she has been replaced by Sai Pallavi, though an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
