Amitabh Bachchan, fondly referred to as Big B, doesn't need any introduction. He is arguably one of the most successful actors in the history of Indian cinema, and he still continues to take up challenging roles. If you don't believe us, just take a look at his introduction video from 'Kalki 2898 AD'. In the latest entertainment news, Amitabh Bachchan has been honoured with the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award.

The event, which was held in Mumbai, honoured Amitabh Bachchan for his contribution to Indian cinema. Big B was dressed in traditional attire and he was accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan.

Both were seen taking the blessings of late Lata Mangeshkar, and the duo also offered her flowers.

In another video from the event, Big B can be seen interacting with a specially-abled girl on stage.

In the video, Amitabh Bachchan greeted the fan first, and then the latter bowed down to show her respect towards the veteran actor.

Amitabh Bachchan then folded his hands, and this left a big smile on the girl's face.

Addressing the audience at the event, Big B said, "I’m fortunate to receive this award today. I never really regarded myself worthy of such an award, but Hridyanath ji tried hard so that I could come here. He even invited me for this ceremony last year.”

“Hridaynath ji, I apologise to you for last time. I had then told you I was unwell. I was healthy but didn’t want to come here. This year I had no excuse, so I had to come here,” he added, as quoted by PTI.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD', alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
