The film explores themes of bonded labor and social hierarchy, focusing on a man who challenges a wealthy, autocratic family that has enslaved his ancestors for generations.
Plot Summary:
The story revolves around Bheema, whose father and generations before him have been slaves to the wealthy Thakur family. Bheema initially accepts his fate, but a kind fakir helps him realize that only God is everyone's true master. This realization inspires him to challenge the Thakur's authority.
His defiance leads to conflict, especially after he befriends Sonam, the Thakur's daughter, and gets into a physical altercation with the Thakur's son. He endures public whipping and eventually goes to prison. Upon his release, Sonam renews their friendship, but Bheema finds himself on the run again as he works to free himself and others from servitude.
