SYNOPSIS

"Aar Ya Paar" (1997) is a Bollywood mystery crime thriller film starring Jackie Shroff in the lead role. The film is directed and produced by Ketan Mehta and is inspired by James Hadley Chase's novel "The Sucker Punch" and Agatha Christie's novel "Endless Night".

Plot
The film revolves around Shekhar Khosla (Jackie Shroff), an opportunistic and money-hungry man. He marries a wealthy woman, Veena Sanghvi (Kamal Sidhu), while simultaneously having an affair with Veena's personal secretary, Anu Chauhan (Deepa Sahi).
When Veena discovers their affair, Shekhar and Anu conspire to kill her. They succeed in their plan, and the police consider it an accident. However, Shekhar later discovers that Anu was also deceiving him and was in love with someone else. The plot takes a twist when the police find evidence against Shekhar regarding Veena's death, and Shekhar finds himself trapped in a web of deceit.

This film is considered a groundbreaking thriller for its time and featured Jackie Shroff in an anti-hero role.
