Synopsis
The plot revolves around Prabhat (Mithun Chakraborty), a selfless young man who loses his ability to speak following a freak accident while saving his stepmother, Ganga (Aruna Irani). Despite his heavy physical sacrifice, his efforts go largely unappreciated by his deeply dysfunctional and selfish family, which includes an alcoholic father who frequently ends up in jail.

Prabhat works tirelessly at a local factory to financially sustain his stepmother, half-brother Surya (Mohnish Bahl), and sister. While working, Prabhat uncovers a massive fraud plot targeted against the factory owner and successfully gets the corrupt manager, Prem Chopra, arrested. A grateful owner offers Prabhat the role of factory manager as a reward. Out of pure selflessness, Prabhat steps aside and nominates his younger stepbrother Surya for the promotion instead.

This good deed quickly backfires. Once Surya gains power, he is manipulated by local fraudsters and turns against Prabhat, leaving Prabhat unemployed and isolated. Throughout this emotional turmoil, Prabhat's childhood friend Naina (Mamta Kulkarni) stands by him as a pillar of unwavering support against her own parents' disapproval. The story chronicles Prabhat’s silent battle to right his brother's wrongs and save his family from complete ruin.
