Performance: While the film received mixed to positive reviews, it was eventually declared a flop at the box office despite its moderate budget of approximately ₹4.5 crore.
Legacy: It remains well-regarded for Arbaaz Khan's performance, which was seen as a bold debut role. Interestingly, the same Hollywood source material was adapted into two other Bollywood films around the same time: Yaraana and Agnisakshi.
