SYNOPSIS

Ghoonghat Wali Superstar is a 2025/2026 Bhojpuri family drama starring Amrapali Dubey. The film centers on a talented married woman who strives to become a singing superstar. Facing strict opposition from her orthodox in-laws, she ultimately pursues her musical dreams with the empowering support of her mother-in-law.

Synopsis
The story is set in a traditional village where the patriarchal family has long been associated with localized folk performance arts. Amrapali Dubey plays a fiercely talented woman with a beautiful voice who dreams of making it big as a professional singer. However, her deeply conservative father-in-law strongly opposes her ambition, viewing a woman's public singing as taboo and a threat to the family's honor.

The plot reaches its turning point when her mother-in-law rebels against the restrictive household rules and decides to secretly support her. Defying societal pressures, the mother-in-law helps the protagonist train, enter a singing competition, and showcase her talent to the world while keeping her identity hidden under a veil (ghoonghat) to avoid immediate familial backlash. The film is an emotional journey of women's empowerment, love, and the courage to break patriarchal chains.
