Amazon Prime Video on Thursday announced their upcoming project titled 'Call Me Bae' starring Ananya Panday. The streaming platform along with 'Bhediya' actor Varun Dhawan announced the launch of the show through a quirky video which showcases Ananya Panday channeling her inner Meryl Streep. In the video, Ananya Panday can be seen playing a fashion expert and she also takes potshots at Varun Dhawan for his lack of knowledge when it comes to fashion.

For the unversed, Meryl Streep had played an iconic role of Miranda Priestly, a powerful fashion magazine editor in 2006 film 'The Devil Wears Prada'.

In the video shared by Amazon Prime Video, Ananya Panday channels the monologue delivered by Meryl Streep in the 2006 film. She then mocks Varun Dhawan for not knowing the colour of his boxer shorts.

Watch the hilarious video here:

In the video, Varun Dhawan says he is wearing blue boxer shorts, but Ananya Panday corrects him, saying it is not blue, rather it is cerulean coloured boxers.

The fans were quick to notice the Meryl Streep connection in the video. Here are some of the comments:

"Ananya is trying to play Meryl Streep from the Devil Wears Prada. there is the same scene in the movie too," wrote one fan on Twitter.

"We are so sorry Meryl Streep. You don’t deserve this," commented another.
