Allu Arjun’s father Allu Aravind has come under fire after his recent comments about ‘KGF’ star Yash.

Celebrities are often seen giving interviews, and several times something that a star says is taken out of context or misunderstood. Something similar happened with veteran filmmaker-producer and Allu Arjun’s father, Allu Aravind. Recently, the father of Allu Arjun, who is one of the highest-paid actors in India, drew flak for his statement about Kannada star Yash while discussing the impact of an actor’s fee on a film’s budget. Allu Aravind recently attended the teaser launch of ‘Kotabommali PS’, where he also talked about actors increasing their remuneration after delivering hits.

As per Hindustan Times, Allu Aravind also said that his production house, Geetha Arts, is currently focusing on small films due to budget. He was asked whether stars hike fees after hits, which affects the film's budget, with examples of Allu Arjun and others from his family.

Denying that actors' fees lead to high budgets for films, the veteran filmmaker-producer said, "The lead actor of a movie gets only 20 to 25 per cent of the film’s budget as remuneration. So, it is not true that the budget for the film will increase because of his fees alone. On top of actors’ fees, a lot of money is spent to make the movie a big venture.”

As per Hindustan Times and other media portals, Allu Aravind cited the example of Yash, who is best known for the hit ‘KGF’ franchise, while discussing the impact of an actor’s fee on a film’s budget.

The producer said that a big star is not just enough to make a blockbuster film. The producer added that the film has to be made on a grand scale for the star to elevate it.

“Who was Yash before the release of the KGF movie? Why did that movie make noise? It was that richness that led to the success of the movie. This is just one example. Whoever the hero of the movie is, it is because of the making that it attracts the audience,” he said.

However, it looks like that people did not understand the context of his statement as they criticised the veteran filmmaker-producer for his comments.

One user wrote, “KGF is special only because of Yash. It is unimaginable without him. That is his contribution. What's this guy's problem?”

Another user said, “Why hate on yash? Everyone is a small hero before their big movie. Even Allu Arjun was a small hero in tier2 range who used to compete with vijay devarakonda until his big movie Alavaikuntapuram lo.”

A third user commented, “Just ignore this nonsense.. Publicity girakigalu ( Bvc galu) We know yash boss hard work.”

“He was a big hero before KGF as well.. please might not have knowledge about his stardom.. but I am sure @Kannada_BO has some knowledge on what Yash was before KGF, he is a man who writes his own scripts,” another comment read.

For the unversed, Yash gained national recognition after the massive success of Prashanth Neel’s directorial ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.

Similarly, Allu Arjun experienced massive success after the release of his film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. The actor is currently working on the next part of the franchise, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’.

Meanwhile, Yash could make a cameo in ‘Salaar’. It is also reported that he will be a part of ‘Ramayana’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is rumoured that he will be playing the role of Ravana, while Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in to essay the role of Lord Ram.
