Here's why Meghan Thee Stallion has decided to take a break from music.

Grammy winner Meghan Thee Stallion has dropped a big bombshell as she has revealed that she would be taking a break from music. The singer has revealed that she would be stepping out of the studio for a while as she looks to focus on self-care. In an interview with InStyle, Meghan Thee Stallion also promoted her partnership with beauty brand Revlon. “Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place. Right now, I’m focused on healing," the rapper said, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

“The music and entertainment industry can be a grind, so it’s important to take time off and avoid burning out. Life is all about balance," she added.

Meghan Thee Stallion had released her debut studio album 'Good News' in 2020 and it opened to critical acclaim.

In 2021, she featured alongside Doja Cat on the remix of Ariana Grande's 2020 single '34+35', and the track managed to reach number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her single 'Thot Shit' ended up receiving a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance.

In July 2020, Megan Thee Stallion became a victim of a shooting committed by rapper Tory Lanez in Hollywood Hills, California.

In December 2022, Lanez was then tried and convicted on all counts in relation to the attack on her.

“I wish I could have handled this situation privately. That was my intention, but once my attacker made it public, everything changed. By the time I identified my attacker, I was completely drained,” the rapper had said in an interview with Elle.

“Many thought I was inexplicably healed because I was still smiling through the pain, still posting on social media, still performing, still dancing and still releasing music," she added.
