Rani Mukerji's "Miscommunication And No Communication" Response While Talking About Feud With Kajol
Here's what Rani Mukerji had to say about her feud with cousin Kajol.
Kajol and Rani Mukerji are two of the most popular Indian actresses and over the years, the duo has starred in several memorable films. The two also shared the screen in Karan Johar's directorial debut 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. However, did you know there was a time when these two cousins were not on talking terms and they did not get along well. Fortunately, the issues have resolved now, and the cousins are back on good terms.
In a recent conversation with Galatta Plus, Rani Mukerji addressed the feud with Kajol, saying, "I think family is one thing that stays with you. So, it is important that the world sees you as one. Differences happen everywhere, but if there is no reason for differences then why should differences happen?"
"So, in this case, it was exactly that. There was no reason. It just happened because of miscommunication and no communication," she added.
During the same interview, a video message from Kajol's sister Tanishaa Mukerji was played. In the clip, Tanishaa was heard saying, "What do I say? My dearest Rani. We have such an unusual relationship. We were so close when we were kids. We were the youngest with all the cousins and all the siblings. So whenever I came to my father's house, he would take me to Rani and Raja's (Rani Mukerji's brother) house."
"We met Rani and Raja more than we met anybody else because we used to play on the beach. And literally every time I went to Rani's house, Raja and Kajol would be like this gang and Rani and I would be kept separately. We were not allowed all their secrets. We were not allowed to play with them. We were not allowed to do anything with them. So, she and I kind of, by default, we just bonded so amazingly," she added.
For the unversed, Kajol and Rani Mukerji had appeared together on the eighth season of Karan Johar's 'Koffee With Karan' as well.
During the episode, Kajol and Rani Mukerji had spoken about their feud.
“Because I have known her as a kid and she was Kajol didi for me and it was a bit strange. I guess when you grow apart you really don’t know the reason why because you don’t meet that often because Kajol didi used to stay in town and we were in Juhu. Me and Tanisha were much closer and we are still. But Kajol didi was always closer to the boys of the family. So, it was a bit strange,” Rani Mukerji said.
On the other hand, Kajol said, “Nothing really like that. It was just an organic distance. Where work is concerned it’s more that both of us liked where we were.”
On the work front, Rani Mukerji was last seen in 'Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway', while Kajol will next be seen in 'Do Patt', alongside Kriti Sanon.
