Veteran Bollywood actress Mumtaz recently visited Pakistan with her sister Mallika. On Instagram, the actress posted several pictures and videos of her interaction with Pakistani actors and classical singers. In the latest entertainment news, while speaking to Zoom, Mumtaz spoke about the hospitality of Pakistani artists, and she also stressed on the need for lifting ban on Pakistani singers and actors from working in India.

"Woh log hum logon se bilkul alag nahin hain. Everywhere that I went, people came forward to shower me and my sister with love and gifts. Ek kalakaar isse zyada aur kya chahta hai. They knew all my films, all my songs," Mumtaz said.

"They should be allowed to come and work here. They are talented. I agree we have no dearth of talent in the Mumbai film industry. Lekin unhe bhi mauka milna chahiye," she added. 

Mumtaz also shared that actor Fawad Khan reserved an entire restaurant for her. She also said that despite being unwell, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan ended up singing a song for her. 

On Instagram, Mumtaz also shared a picture with renowned classical singer Ghulam Ali from her recent Pakistan tour.

For the unversed, Mumtaz was a household name in the 60s and 70s as she starred in several popular Hindi movies.

She made her acting debut at the age of 11 with 'Sone Ki Chidiya'. As her career progressed ahead, she worked in popular movies like Rajesh Khanna starrer 'Do Raaste', Dev Anand's 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' and Feroz Khan's 'Apradh'. 

For the unversed, Mumtaz's daughter Natasha Madhwani is married to Feroz's son Fardeen Khan.
